The Panama Municipal Palace Demetrio H. Brid, described in Image #16, holds a pivotal role in Panama's history as its birthplace. Completed in 1910, it stands proudly in Plaza de la Independencia, adjacent to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama and the Canal Museum. This neoclassical structure boasts a facade adorned with Renaissance and Mannerist elements.

My exploration around Plaza Independencia led me to a captivating perspective—a "Banksy"-like graffiti image of a flying woman, a remnant from a past film festival. The building, now roofless and overgrown with trees and weeds, offers unobstructed views of the brilliant Greek sculptures atop the Municipal Palace. The stark contrast between the updated and the abandoned, the neo-classical and the colonial, graffiti and sculptures is truly breathtaking.

This image, featuring two Greek statues framed by a dilapidated balcony against a vibrant blue sky, exudes stunning, intriguing, and mysterious qualities. When printed on canvas, it often appears more like a painting than a photograph.
