Nestled on a charming corner within Plaza Francia, one of my go-to lunch spots in Panama is the delightful Dodo Bon Pan Cafe. This gem of a restaurant, founded by the visionary Marcella Lombardo and lovingly managed by her daughters, has been a haven for both locals and tourists alike since its inauguration in 2013.
The restaurant is a sanctuary for those in search of wholesome and delectable delights, offering a tantalizing array of freshly made daily salads and sandwiches. As you step into this culinary haven, you're welcomed by a charming white building facade adorned with green windows and light-teal windowsills. The very essence of the place reflects a sense of tranquility and nostalgia.
Inside, the ambiance is a mesmerizing blend of black and white tiles, seamlessly complemented by vintage decor that often graces the space, and yes, is available for purchase. This enchanting interior exudes an irresistible warmth and charm, inviting you to savor not just the sumptuous dishes but also the rich and comforting atmosphere that envelops you, making it a truly unforgettable dining experience.
